The Programme

The main programme of study currently offered by the School leads to the degree of Master of Business Administration of IIT Kharagpur.

This is a full-time four-semester (2-year) residential programme for graduate engineers and Masters' degree holders in science, economics and commerce, intending to pursue management careers in India or abroad.

Eligibility

First Class Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology.

First Class Master's degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor's level).

First Class Master's degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor's level).

Selection Procedure

Step 1: Qualifying JMET
Step 2: Application for MBA by sending the VGSOM application form
Step 3: Shortlist for Group Discussion / Personal Interview
Step 4: Final Calls

Application Procedure

Obtain a demand draft for Rs. 700/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) drawn in favour of "VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur" payable at Kharagpur. Fill in the details of this draft on the Application Form as specified.

Send the Application Form, duly filled in and signed, clearly marking thereon whether for MBA or PGDBM programme, along with the requisite demand draft to the address stated in contact details.

Do not send this application to the GATE Office. The last date for the school to receive your duly filled application form is January 27, 2006.
