ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR 2005-2006

Applications are invited for admission to
TWO YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (with specialization in Marketing / HRD / Finance - MBA Seats 30) (with specialization in International Business  MIBA Seats 30)

RESERVATION : SC: 15%; ST: 7.5% and OH : 3%

PAID SEATS : 10 (MBA 05 & MIBA 05)

SUPERNUMERARY SEATS:
Foreign Nationals: 15 % (50% reserved for those foreign nationals who have obtained the qualifying degree from an Indian University. Such candidates will be required to appear in CAT 2004 and qualify).

WHO CAN APPLY:
Candidates should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. For SC/ST candidates, only pass mark is required.

Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2005 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2005.

HOW TO APPLY :
Step 1: Candidates seeking admission to FMS-BHU will be required to purchase CAT 2004 (conducted by IIMs) Bulletin available from SBI branches from July 19, 2004 and appear in CAT 2004 on SUNDAY, November 21, 2004. Completed CAT Application forms should be directly sent to the concerned IIM on or before September 12, 2004 (for details see CAT advertisements in leading newspapers on 18th July 2004). The FMS, BHU uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for its two-year full time post-graduate programmes in management. IIMs have no role either in selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Step 2: Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form to be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi from July 30, 2004 either in person against crossed SBI Bank Draft. / Banker's Cheque of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST) till November 24, 2004 OR by post through a requisition along with Crossed SBI Bank Draft of Rs. 550/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST) and self-addressed envelope of 32x26 cm. till November 10, 2004. The Bank Draft/Banker's Cheque should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at SBI, BHU Main Branch (Code 0211). SC/ST applicants must submit a copy of Caste Certificate for obtaining application form at concessional rate. Last date of receipt of complete application form in the Faculty of Management Studies, BHU is 25 November 2004
