MBA in International Business (2006-08)
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade provides world-class education and training in international trade and business as well as serves as a premier center of research.
Eligibility Recognised Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline. Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 7th October 2006.
No age limit
Reservations Seats are reserved for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as per Government of India rules. Admission of such candidates will be subject to meeting the requirements of the Institute under this category.
Mode of Admission On the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. Written Test will be held on Sunday 27th November 2005 during 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Vishakhapatnam. Based on the marks of Written Test, a limieted number of candidates will be invited for second phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre, if required.
For Foreign/NRI candidates Seats are reserved for foreign national and NRI candidates and the admission is considered on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), score of which should not have been declared before 1st January 2004 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2006. NRI sponsored candidates are not considered under this category.
Placement Campus recruitment facilities are available.
Hostel All students are required to stay at IIFT Hostel.
How to Apply The Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained on all working days between 10:00 am - 4:30 pm personally from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi - 110016 on payment of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates and US $20 for Foreign/NRI candidates) in cash or by post by sending a request accompanied by demand draft of Rs. 1,100/- favouring Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/PH candidates and US $30 for Foreign/ NRI candidates) and two self-addressed (with Tel. No.) slips of visiting card size. SC/ST/PH candidates to attach requisite Certificate also.
The cost of Prospectus and Application Form as indicated above is one time payment, which includes application, screening and Entrance Test Fee and the candidates will not be required to pay any other fee while sending back the filled-in application forms.
