Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme

The Institute of Management (formerly known as Nirma Institute of Management), established in 1996, is now a constituent institute of Nirma University, a statutory University established under the Gujarat State Act. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. 

The Programme
The MBA Programme of the institute is the 2-year residential programme and its eleventh batch will be commencing from June end 2006. The programme offers dual specialization in areas such as Finance, Marketing, OB & HR, IT, international Business and Operations Management. The culture of the programme is characterized by academic excellence, networking with the corporate world and personal development. The graduates of the programme have been placed in the leading corporate and the placement records of the institute have been consistently 100 percent.

Eligibility
A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University as eligible for Post Graduate studies. Students appearing in the final examination of a Bachelor's degree can also apply.

Admission Procedure
The prospective candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on November 20, 2005. CAT Bulletins are available at the select branches of State Bank of India as listed in the recent CAT advertisement. The last date for issuing CAT Bulletin is August 22, 2005.

Applicants are required to fill in the application form of the Institute of Management, Nirma University in addition to the CAT form. The institute uses CAT for short-listing the candidates. The IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in conduct of the programme. Short-listed candidates will be invited for personal interview and group discussion at select centers.

Application forms can also be obtained from different centres of IMS Learning Resources from August 30, 2005 onwards. The applocation forms can also be downloaded from the website www.nim.ac.in and submitted along with a DD of Rs. 1,000/-.

Completed application forms should reach the institute's office latest by December 15, 2005.
