Courses Offered at XLRI, Jamshedpur Business Management Programme (BM) TWO year full time residential programme that facilitates learning in theory and practice of different functional areas viz. Economics, Finance, General Management, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management and Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, to equip the students with an integrated approach to management function and managerial skills.
Personal Management & Industrial Relations Programme (PMIR) TWO year full time residential programme that facilitates learning in modern concepts, techniques and practices in the management of human resources and industrial relations. It exposes the students to different functional areas of management to enhance their effectiveness.
Executive Postgraduate Programme (Exec-PGP) THREE year part time programme for Working Executives who have completed minimum of 3 years of experience as on 31st May 2006. Participants have to make 8 trips to campus of 20 days each, spread over the three years.
General Management Programme (GMP) ONE year full time residential programme for Working Executives who have completed minimum of 3 years of experience as on 31st May 2006.
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is equivalent to a Ph.D. programme. The FPM is a full-time, residential, doctoral programme that trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers and teachers in various aspects of management. It primarily aims at preparing students for careers as faculty members at premier academic institutions.

Note: Fellow Programme in Management candidates who have a valid GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC JRF (research) score, or have done their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi, or XIM Bhubaneswar with a CQPI of at least 6.00 or equivalent are exempted from appearing in the XAT.
Executive Fellow Programme in Management (Exec FPM): The part -time Executive Fellow Programme in Management (Exec-FPM) is equivalent to a Ph.D. programme. It has been designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working business executives who already have an MBA and have Three Years of work experience as on 01st October 2005. The objective of the part-time Executive FPM is to develop prospective scholars for careers not only in management research and teaching but also in management practice, consulting, training, and development. The last date for receiving the application form is 31 October 2005.

XAT 2006
Admission to academic programmes at XLRI is through XAT. Kindly check the XAT 2006 details in this regard. Procedure for Obtaining XLRI Prospectus from SBI and XLRI Registration
- A candidate interested in XLRI, has to first register for XAT 2006. The XAT ID and password so obtained are required for applying to XLRI.
- A Candidate can obtain XLRI Prospectus from select branches of State Bank of India on payment of Rs. 800/-.
- Registration for XLRI Admissions - 2006
The applicant has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XLRI Registration. Here they have to fill in the XLRI form and have to opt for one of the programmes of XLRI .The candidate has to provide personal details, XLRI Prospectus No., Date, SBI branch name and submit the form online.
- Once the candidates provides the bank detail they can proceed to take print out of XLRI Payment Advice Form (XLRI PA Form).
- The candidate has to enclose the third copy of the bank / XLRI pay-in-slip along with the duly completed XLRI PA Form and use only the special envelope provided with the XLRI Prospectus and send it by registered post / speed post / courier within a week of obtaining the XLRI Prospectus.
- The last date for receiving the XLRI PA Form at the Admissions Office, XL:RI Jamshedpur is December 05, 2005.
- The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI will be posted at www.xlri.edu by January 31, 2006. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be posted at www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu

- An applicant has to make a demand draft for Rs 850/- for XLRI Prospectus. The Demand Draft has to be drawn in favour of XLRI, Jamshedpur payable at SBI, XLRI Branch (Branch Code No 4660).
- Registration for XLRI Admissions - 2006
The applicant has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XLRI Registration. Here they have to fill in the XLRI form and have to opt for one of the programmes of XLRI .The candidate has to provide the payment particulars of the demand draft number, date and submit the form online. Please mention your XAT ID and your name on the reverse of the DD.
- Once the candidates provides the demand draft details they can proceed to take printout of XLRI Payment Advice Form (XLRI PA Form).
- The candidate has to enclose the demand draft along with the duly completed XLRI PA Form and send it by registered post / speed post / courier so as to reach XLRI Admissions Office, XLRI Jamshedpur on or before December 05, 2005.
- XLRI Prospectus will be sent after receiving the request complete in all respects.
- The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI will be posted at www.xlri.edu by January 31, 2006. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be posted at www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu
