TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) General Information

 
The TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) is the only recognized Entrance Test for MBA(and also for MCA ME/MTech) ,being Conducted by Anna University on thebehalf of Government of Tamilnadu for the following institutes

1. All the seats in Government Engineering and Government Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu.

2. 90% of the seats in aided courses in Government Aided Non Minority Engineering and Arts and Science Colleges.

3. 50% of seats in Government aided minority Arts, Science and Engineering Colleges.

4. 50% of seats in Un-aided non-minority Engineering and Arts and Science Colleges.

5. 30% of seats in Un-aided minority Engineering and arts and Science Colleges.

6. Universities in Tamil Nadu, Management Quota seats in Self-financing Colleges both Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges may admit the students based on the state level Common Entrance Test. It is only optional.

Eligibility : Any Degree

Syllabus  :
PART 1.
To evaluate the candidate's ability to pick out critically the data and apply the data to business decisions from given typical business situations.

PART 2.
To evaluate the skill of the candidate in answering questions based on the passages in the comprehension.

PART 3.
To evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems of graduate level including those learnt in plus two or equivalent level.

PART 4.
To test on determining data sufficiency for answering certain questions using data given plus the knowledge of Mathematics and use of day - to - day facts.

PART 5.
To test the knowledge on written English with questions on errors in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like.
