TNPCEE How to Prepare

How to Prepare

Nowadays preparing for TNPCEE goes along with preparing for Board exam for +2 Students. TNMA (TamilNadu Medical Admission) ranking is also based on Board exam marks. These two Exam tests different set of aptitudes among students. While Board exam explores the comprehension ability, Presentation skills, Familiarity with concepts and assertiveness to the subject, the Entrance Exam searches for Conceptual understanding, in depth knowledge of subject, Problem Solving ability. Though the syllabus is restricted within second year textbook, it is ideal to start preparation right after the start of Eleventh standard to aim at high ranks. In schools due to time & exam compulsions, chances are there to rush up even important concepts. Also some part of the text, which is less important from board exam marks point of view, may want special attention since they are potential question bases in entrance exams. This emphasizes one has to undergo preparation for board and entrance exam at one go with right judicious balance. First one has to master the concepts in the textbook unit wise he should reach a position that he can answer any question from that unit. Second simultaneously one has to think about all possible entrance exam questions that can be asked in that chapter. It is better to go through previous year question papers for Board exam preparation but doing so for entrance exam will give only the feeling about the level of questions.
