Introduction

TNPCEE (Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Exam) is Conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of Government Of Tamil Nadu, for admission to Professional Courses in Tamil Nadu, offered by Government, Government Aided and Government Quota in Private Professional Colleges (Self-Financing) under the control of

(1) Directorate of Medical Education,
(2) Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy,
(3) Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and its affiliated institutions (Self-Financing) and
(4) Tamil Nadu Veterinary & Animal Sciences University,
in Tamil Nadu which have opted to admit students based on TNPCEE

Eligibility

Any one can who passed or going to appear in the HSC exam can write TNPCEE but the admissions in Medical/Para Medical courses is upto the condition that, a pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with the minimum average Percentage in the relevant subjects.

Minimum average Percentage for different communities are,

(i)For SC/ST Communities, must have passed English and minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. 40% marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 80 out of 200.
(ii) For Communities Other than BC/MBC&DNC/SC/ST - Other Communities, must have passed English and minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. 60% marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 140 out of 200.
(iii) For BC Communities, must have passed English and minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. 60% marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 130 out of 200.
(iv) For MBC & DNC Communities,must have passed English and minimum of 55% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. 55% marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 120 out of 200.

Syllabus

Based only on the syllabi and textbooks prescribed for the second year of the Tamil Nadu State Board of Higher Secondary Courses.
