GCET - MCA Selection Process & Pattern

For admission to MCA, determination of merit will be based solely on the
performance in the entrance test.

The logic for removing ties in the scores will be as under:
 . Higher score in the written test
 . Higher marks (total) in XIIth Std.
 . Higher marks (total) in Xth Std.
 . If there is still a tie, all such candidates will be given the same rank and
he final rank will be determined at the time of counselling based on
graduation percentage.

Entrance Test
The entrance test will be conducted at the following seven nodal centres:
Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Patan, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Vallabh Vidyanagar

The entrance test will be in English only.

Entrance Test Pattern

The duration of the test will be three hours.

There will be 250 questions of objective nature, with each question having
four alternative answers.

There will be negative marking of 25% of the marks allotted to the question
for wrong answer.

For MCA, the aspects to be covered will be Quantitative Ability; Analytical
and Logical Reasoning; Language Ability; Mathematics/Business
Mathematics/Statistics up to 12th standard of Gujarat HSC Board level.
